Fishing & more: This is the last stronghold for remote fishing in Alaska. Stephan Lake Lodge is located on 5 mile long Stephan Lake and makes an ideal setting for some of the best fishing for Rainbow & Lake Trout, Dolly Varden and Arctic Grayling. At varying times through the summer Chinook (King), Sockeye (Red) and Coho (Silver) begin appearing. Fish are also plentiful in nearby streams and rivers.  The fishing season begins in early June for Rainbow Trout, Arctic Grayling and Lake Trout in the pristine lake.  Salmon fishing begins in July with Red Salmon followed by great Silver Salmon in August. in addition to Rainbow Trout and Grayling in the nearby clear water tributary streams.

People come to Stephan Lake Lodge for more than just the fantastic fishing.  Share this wilderness with wildlife such as this friendly fox which is often spotted near the cabins and lodge.  You're likely to see moose and maybe even an Alaskan Grizzly bear!   The hills and valleys around Stephan Lake Lodge provide hikes for all age and ability levels. The scenery is stunning and if you're there at the right time of year you may find yourself sitting in the middle of a patch of ripe wild blueberries.  Hiking treks are also available which will take you deep into the remote wilderness of the Talkeetna Mountains with expert guides.

The Lodge:  The lodge overlooks Stephan Lake and is build of local spruce logs.  The lodge offer private rooms with bath, shower and a lake side sauna. The main lounge has a natural stone fireplace and is a wonderful place to relax and share your days adventure.  Expertly prepared meals include home made soups, healthy fresh salads and fresh baked desserts.
