All
five species of Pacific Salmon migrate up Cook Inlet to the
Susitna and off into her tributaries. Area lakes and streams
support a number of overnight cabins that are stocked with
drinking water, propane stoves for cooking and bunk beds.
Many have small aluminum boats and motors for your use. If
you want to stay
a few nights on your own and rough it this trip can be very
affordable. Our outfitters
supply all the gear but feel free to bring your favorite fly-or
spin casting rod. They do supply terminal tackle to a point but we
recommend you pick-up your own before you leave. Some of the
patterns you might have to wait and purchase in Alaska, that's not
hard to do the evening before you depart for camp.
