Great Alaska's unique location on the banks of the lower Kenai River gives you access to unbelievable fly-fishing just feet from your room, 24 hours a day (it seldom gets too dark to fish).  You will fish the lower river from 20' riverboats, which are ideal fishing platforms for targeting the world's largest King Salmon and casting for the acrobatic Silvers.  The lodge also has one of the few permits to fish the refuge Trout waters of the upper Kenai River. This area is one of the most spectacular Trout fisheries in the state; catch and releasing 25 Trout or Char up to 10 lbs is not uncommon.

Further south the Kasilof River produces quality King and Silver Salmon runs from May through September. This drift boat only river is a beautiful setting and the perfect place for a quiet drift and hot fishing.

Launching from Deep Creek into Cook Inlet provides productive Halibut fishing.  A real treat with the average Halibut of 30-40lbs and many in the 100's. Early in the year quality King Salmon are caught by trolling the beaches, this makes for an excellent combo trip.

Fishing is also available from Seward into the Gulf of Alaska, home to Halibut, giant Ling Cod, and good numbers of Silver Salmon.

Great Alaska is a 3-Star lodge located in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula on 25 acres of prime mid-river property overlooking the confluence of the Kenai and Moose Rivers. The central location allows easy access to the entire Kenai Peninsula.

You can expect amenities such as welcome baskets, "coffee at your door" wakeups, riverfront cabins with private baths, nightly happy hour... ...and fantastic meals.  Spread throughout the property, the deluxe cabins feature private bath and configurations from standard double to spacious family suites.
