Homer
Floatplane Lodge & Cabins is a
perfect base for your complete Alaskan adventure located in Homer,
AK. Daily fishing will take you from the lodge out to your
freshwater and saltwater fishing. Homer also provides many
interesting sights and activities for the non-fisherman.
Halibut
Fishing: Saltwater fishing in
Kachemak Bay with fish running up to 300 lbs plus. Full
day excursions leave the boat harbor at 6:00 A.M. returning
at approximately. 4:00 P.M. Halibut can be caught throughout
the summer season with excellent catch results.
Salmon Fishing: Fishing
for King Salmon in Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet is usually good
throughout the year with June the peak season for first run kings.
Silver Salmon fishing is usually August 1st thru Sept. 15.
Kenai
River Drift Salmon
fishing: World Famous Trophy King and
Silver Salmon fishing on the Kenai River. Van/Shuttle to the Kenai
for full day of drift fishing. Maximum of 3 people per boat. Leave
from Lodge as early as 4:00 A.M. to arrive at the river by 5:30.
Breakfast provided while enroute to River. Time of departure will
be Tide dependent.
Fly-out guided fishing: Full day of Pilot guided fly-out
fishing includes pick-up at lodge.
King Salmon fishing at its greatest with the opportunity for
Trophies with no crowds.
Guided
River Fishing: Guided fly-fishing on
local rivers and lakes. This adventure includes a full day of
instruction at locations local to Homer. Fish caught will include
Dolly Varden, Steelhead and Salmon (depending on dates). This will
be mostly catch and release on the Anchor River and at Deep Creek.
The
main lodge is custom full scribe
log building located on the shore of
Beluga Lake in Homer, Alaska. Fishing is the main activity
from Homer and this is a great home base. The area features
both freshwater and fly-out fishing as well as saltwater
fishing. The cabins come complete with a view of the lake
and have private entrances, cable t/v and full private bathrooms.
All units feature queen and full sized beds.
Start
each day with a hearty breakfast in the lodge.
Appetizers are served upon return from the days activity.
Relaxing evenings may be spent with a dip in the hot tub or
sauna at the water's edge or with a glass of wine relaxing on your
covered deck enjoying the evening parade of Homer's floatplanes
returning from the days activities.
