Kodiak Paradise Lodge
Port Lions, Kodiak Island

Kodiak Paradise Lodge is located in the village Port Lions on Kodiak Island and provides a true Alaskan experience. The village is non-commercial and is in the midst of beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife. This new lodge is owned and operated by Kodiak Sports & Tour, which has run a successful charter business for 14 years on Kodiak Island.  The village of Port Lions is a remote village twenty miles west of the city of Kodiak, easily reached by scheduled flights from the city of Kodiak.

The newly remodeled Kodiak Paradise Lodge opened the summer of 2007.  The lodge is an ocean front facility, accommodating up to sixteen people in four comfortable guestrooms, each with private bath.  All meals are freshly prepared and served in the lodge dining room.

From the lodge, you can choose to bottom fish in coastal ocean waters for Halibut, Rock fish, Ling Cod, Pacific Cod, and catch several other species, as well as troll and cast from the boat for ocean traveling Coho (silver) Salmon, and Chinook (king) Salmon.   Additional fishing options include shore fishing on beaches, estuaries, and rivers with spinning gear or fly gear for Coho (silver) Salmon, Sockeye (red) Salmon, Pink (humpy) Salmon, Chum (dog) Salmon, along with Dolly Varden Trout and Steelhead.  Groups will be no larger than six persons per boat. 

In addition to sport fishing, the lodge offers high quality sightseeing tours customized to your desires. Explore remoteHumpback areas of Kodiak Island, Raspberry Island and Afognak Island waters. Tours bring you up-close to spectacular landscapes and abundant marine life including world-class bird rookeries loaded with puffins, sea gulls, and many other species. If you are checking your life list, as many avid bird watchers do, you will have many new and unusual sightings to add. Humpback whales, Fin whales, Orcas, and Dall Porpoise are also abundant in these waters as well You will spend full day with a guide exploring remote beaches, Sitka Spruce rain forests, or streams full of spawning salmon, which offer you the best opportunity to see a Kodiak Brown bear. Some of these sights are seasonal, but large colonies sea otters for instance may be viewed year round. The photography opportunities are endless!

Packages Include: full day guided charter boat outings for fishing or wildlife viewing, catered to your desires. Lodging in clean, comfortable, newly remodeled, ocean front facility, with all meals - family style. Transportation by boat or airplane between the city of Kodiak and the village of Port Lions and fish processing including filleting to your desired portion size, wrapped in saran wrap and freezer paper, frozen, and boxed

Not included: Vacuum seal packaging is available for an additional $1.25 per lb.   Fishing licenses/king salmon tags are available separately
