Raspberry Island Remote Camps

Raspberry Island Remote Camps offers trophy class fishing with up to twenty species of salt and fresh water fish. Fishermen of all ages have enjoyed the thrill of catching "the big one"  surrounded by Alaska's limitless  beauty. We provide top of the line equipment to insure trouble free, light  weight and responsive gear matched to the species we are fishing for. Instruction is provided and each trip is fully guided by our licensed guides and  captains. Your fish is often featured as "catch of the day" at the evening meal. Our fish processing room with its blast freezer and commercial vacuum sealer guarantees you a quality product you will enjoy  once you return home. Twenty pounds of fish is processed for you at no extra cost. Spring and fall offers  fantastic opportunities to chase fish. We offer packages with fly-out destinations combined with boat outs from the lodge. These trips have proven very successful and guests come back from these trips knowing they have just experienced the best Alaska has to offer.

Raspberry Island Remote Camps located on the west side of Kodiak Island offers an assortment of activities.  Alaska is by far the largest state in the nation with thousands of miles of coast line.  Because of its size you will find vast differences in topography from muskeg to mountains, glaciers to sand dunes, smoking volcanoes to rain forests and endless ice fields to limitless seas.

It is impossible to see the whole state no matter how long you stay or how much you spend. The Kodiak Island Archipelago offers perhaps the best cross-section of Alaska . Vacationers will find ancient spruce forests, huge runs of salmon, clear streams, and snow capped mountains. Famous for the Kodiak Brown Bear, it is a thrill to see their fresh tracks on the beach or view them at their favorite fishing hole.  From Shelikof Strait, the snowy mountains and volcanoes of Mainland  Alaska will awe you with their majesty. If you have the taste for adventure, Raspberry Island Remote Camps is a great choice.

Along with excitement, your vacation deserves an equal measure of relaxation. Our daily programs usually end around 5 p.m. when guests return to the lodge to enjoy hors d'oeuvres served with complimentary wine or beer. You are able to soak in our large hot spa or sauna, or enjoy the view from one of our observation decks. After the evening meal, guests can relax around the lodge or return to the privacy of their cabins for a comfortable evening's rest in preparation for the next day's adventure.

Nature and modern conveniences don't often go hand in hand. At Raspberry Island Remote Camps, you can enjoy the best of both worlds... the calm and quiet of a wilderness vacation - with all the comforts of home.

Your private guest cabin comfortably sleeps four individuals or a family of 5. Each bed has flannel sheets and Woolridge blankets for a cozy night's sleep. Our two centrally located bath houses provide hot showers for each cabin with  plenty of fresh towels.

After the evening meal guests can relax  around the lodge, or return to the  privacy of their cabins for a comfortable evening's rest in preparation for the next day's adventure. For an  extra dose of relaxation, enjoy the banya, a Native Alaskan steam bath, or gather with your friends in the outdoor hot tub to talk about the days adventures. A day of hiking and fishing can sure build up a healthy appetite – at Raspberry Island Remote Camps, a healthy meal is what you'll get.

All meals are served family style at the lodge. A succulent assortment of fresh garden herbs and vegetables, smoked salmon hors d’ouvres, and home baked breads and desserts will please your palate. The main dish is the catch of the day, - Sushi and Sashimi can be prepared upon request. With your meal, sip on quality domestic wines such as Pine Ridge Estates and Archery Summit.
