Riversong Lodge is located at Lake Creek, a famous Alaskan fishing river offering all five species of salmon as well as rainbow trout, arctic grayling and northern pike. The lodge is 70 air miles northwest of Anchorage on the southern bank of the Yentna River at the confluence of Lake Creek.  It is accessed by floatplane only.

Nestled amongst cottonwood, birch and spruce trees, under the distant gaze of majestic mountains, Riversong Lodge offers its guest’s gracious comfort, award winning cuisine, superb fishing and a warm welcome. The main lodge serves as a gathering place for meals, entertaining, activities and relaxation.  Its rustic lodge construction, spacious decks, inviting living room, warm stove and tasteful décor leave no doubt those guests are deep in the Alaskan wilderness. Ten guest cabins surround the main lodge facing the Yentna River towards Mt. McKinley.

Guests enjoy reading on the deck, taking a walk on our interpretive trail, relaxing in the main lodge, touring our expansive gardens or playing card games in the bar when they aren’t out on the river sport fishing. Take out a canoe for meandering,  paddle down Twenty Mile Slough or go on a day-float down Lake Creek.   The lodges cuisine is award-winning, feel free to stop by the kitchen for a cooking class with one of our chefs.

Travel and Leisure magazine has named Riversong Lodge one of “25 best lodges in America”.

Casting in the legendary waters of Lake Creek is an experience not to be missed.  Riversong Lodge caters to the experienced and novice fishermen alike. The fishing program focuses on the quality of the total experience; excellent catching opportunities, beautiful scenery, and professional guides who help guests enjoy great fishing as well as the area’s fascinating flora, fauna and colorful history.

The lodge has some of the best guides in Alaska. They are all Coast Guard certified and proficient with conventional as well as fly tackle. They know the waters and the fishing, and they take great pride and pleasure teaching you the skills to master them.  Let them navigate you up the swiftly flowing waters of Lake Creek in our jet boats in search of the mighty king salmon in June or maybe the spectacular rainbow trout in September.

Located across the Yentna River from the confluence of our “home waters” of Lake Creek offers you some of Alaska’s best fishing water within minutes of leaving  the lodge dock.  Lake Creek is a swiftly flowing, clear, gravel-bottomed river originating out of the Alaska Range to our north and is home to all five species of Pacific Salmon (king, sockeye, pink, silver and chum), rainbow trout and artic grayling.  In addition, you can fish for the northern pike in other local waters.  Riversong Lodge also offers daily fly-out fishing excursions by floatplane to favorite neighboring rivers.  And, if you are truly after a unique remote Alaskan experience, fly-out options take you from the lodge by helicopter to some difficult to reach and fabulous fish waters.

Riversong Lodge was hand-built from native white spruce logs and offers rustic riverside comfort. Its’ classic cottonwood floors, warm potbelly stove and comfortable décor make guests feel they are part of the Alaska experience. There is a greenhouse, main room, dining room, and bar. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed.

With ten nicely appointed guest cabins surrounding the lodge along the Yentna River and North America’s highest peak – Mount McKinley (20,320 feet).  Currently, six cabins have private bath and four cabins share a central shower house.  There is also a wood-heated sauna for guest use.  Each cabin is assigned a housekeeper that will take care of any of your cabin needs. Please note that our electricity is shutoff every night between approximately 12 midnight and 6 am.  If you have 24-hour electricity needs please let us know upon check-in.  There is a telephone in the main lodge for guest use.

We take great pride in our lodge grounds, and herb and flower gardens.  With Alaska’s vibrant growing season, Riversong’s flowers roar into bloom each June.  Throughout the summer there is a constant parade of new color as our gardener’s plantings spring to life. The lodge is open from May 15 to September 30.
