Bristol Bay is probably one of the
World’s most famous sportfishing
areas.
In addition, it is
certainly one of Alaska’s premier
fishing destinations. Most of the
fishing in Bristol Bay is done by
floatplane and motor boats used for
transportation to the "Hot" spots
daily then wading and working the
holes from the gravel bars and
banks.
The Susitna Drainage and
Lake Creek are probably the most popular fishing areas in the State of Alaska
for a number of reasons, the main one being easy access. Lake Creek is only a
45-minute floatplane flight from Anchorage’s Lake Hood.
Kodiak Island and
the Aleutians are World famous for their bears. A few fortunate
anglers have discovered that where there’s Bears………..there’s FISH!!!
Kodiak Island is inhabited mainly on the Northeastern tip where Kodiak
City sits.
Northwest Alaska is as diverse as it is
isolated from the rest of the
State. This is truly the "Land of the Midnight Sun," as any angler who
has had the opportunity to visit this part of Alaska would attest.
