Alaska is famous for the native runs of Pacific Salmon that return each year to spawn in the many rivers, streams and lakes throughout the State. Some areas support stronger runs than others and this will impact your decision as to which area of the State you'd like to visit for your fishing experience. In addition to Salmon we also have many indigenous species of fish in Alaska. Our native Rainbow Trout are World famous for there fight and there size. And the IGFA World Record Halibut(459lbs) was caught in the waters out of Dutch Harbor/Unalaska, as was the IGFA record Artic Char in the rivers outside of Kotzebue at 27lbs 6oz.

GoFishingAlaska.com knows where the strong runs are and can fit a Lodge or outfitter to your particular needs and budget.  Follow the links below to learn more about the different species for fish we are so fortunate to have in Alaska.
