Day Trips
Saltwater
King’s & Halibut from May through July, offer some of the best fishing Alaska has to offer the budget minded fisherperson.
These open boat charters include all fishing equipment and an enclosed heated
cabin for those “not so nice” HOT fishing days. Charters leave at
different times depending on the tide; you might leave Anchorage at 3:30am (still
daylight) or not till 9:00pm (also still daylight) to take full advantage of
the slack tide. Slacks are the best and most productive time for bottom
fishing. It’s easier to keep your bait on the bottom and it’s a lot easier to
stand up while fighting that “BarnDoor”
With an average 20 foot tide swing in each direction you can see why we go
after the fish when it’s the easiest for us, the fish are always down there.
And King and Silver Salmon make there move along the shores during tide
movements, so most trips fish for Salmon either on the way in or out depending
on the favorable tide when you leave.
Fly-Out
Cabins
Daily one hour fly-outs from Anchorage, to lakes and Rivers for
Salmon and Trout can be the crowning jewel to your Alaskan experience. With
hotel pickups and lunches provided on most trips you can be fishing the
pristine waters of Alaska within a short one hour
floatplane flight from Anchorage. We supply all the gear and
tackle so all you need is the enthusiasm and an Alaska fishing license,
GoFishingAlaska.com does the rest. We
offer fully guided or for the “do it yourselfer” unguided trips. Fly-fishing or
spin casting, what ever your pleasure we have the tackle and gear that’s just
right for your trip. We use the oldest and the most reliable flying service in
Anchorage/Lake Hood, and most trips are available with only a days notice.
Don’t sit around that hotel room all day before your flight home, do what
Alaskans do when we’ve got a spare minute or two on a beautiful summer day…….lets' go fishin!!!
