Winterlake Lodge & Redoubt Bay Lodge

Within the Wild Adventure Lodges are family owned an operated lodges each offering great sport fishing opportunities in the Alaskan wilderness with a wide variety of fly-out sport fishing options, including heli-fishing excursions.  Depending on the season, guests have access to the five species of salmon found in Alaska, as well as trophy rainbow trout, lake trout and Arctic Grayling.  Complemented by renowned cuisine and programs for the non-fisherman, these lodges offer a unique combination of experiences sure to satisfy any taste.


Winterlake Lodge

Winterlake Lodge offers seclusion and spectacular scenery, including views of the Trimble and Hayes Glacier and the entrance to Rainy Pass. Located on the National Historic Iditarod Trail, the lodge offers many opportunities for fly-out fishing, hiking and wildlife viewing. The area is home to many species of Alaska birds, wildflowers, and berries that are rarely seen in other locales. It is also located on the National Historic Iditarod Trail and serves as one of the race checkpoints. 

Winter Lake Lodge has a dedicated helicopter on site every day for optional guided helicopter excursions. Heli-hiking, wilderness fishing, river rafting and glacier sightseeing area easily accessible from the lodge. With its wellness program, cooking classes, wine tasting and lots of choices for activities such as hiking,  fishing, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, mountain biking and of course dog mushing in the winter time, this lodge is the perfect getaway for couples, families, a group of friends, all loving the outdoors and who want to get away from the busy day by day life.

The lodge offers a comfortable main room, for relaxing by the fire and viewing the lake from large picture windows, a cozy dining area, a large meditative yoga room, hot tub on the main deck, and a lakeside wood burning sauna.

Winterlake Lodge is one of few Alaska lodges open year-round.  Winter activities may include sled dog tours and instructions on driving your own team, cross country ski excursions, snowshoe expeditions, exploratory trips through Rainy Pass, wine tasting and cooking classes. Of course, they also have their signature wellness offerings such as yoga, meditation, stretching and complimentary massage.

 


Redoubt Bay Lodge

Redoubt Bay Lodge is located 50 miles southwest of Anchorage, at the entrance to Lake Clark Pass in the foothills of the Aleutian Mountain Range. This small, rustic lodge sits on a small knoll overlooking Big River Lakes, a chain of lakes whose waters lead to the Big River and on to Cook Inlet. Enjoy a guided boat ride as you travel to the best locations to view the resident brown bears feeding on salmon. Overnight guests can also enjoy sport fishing for red and silver salmon, kayaking around the lakes, and hiking.

Three small lakeside guest cabins, a cozy hand-hewn log main lodge, and world-class staff and service make a stay at Redoubt Bay Lodge a memorable addition to any Alaskan adventure!
